AAWC Lesson Reflection
Select (S):
Identify a lesson and what standards are you addressing
Today I teach the
student about the numbers from 1-5 and the theme is about all about me. So, I
try to match all of topic. First, I let them count by their hands from number
1-5. Then we sing “one little figure” and this song talk about the part of
the body for example “eyes, figure, hand, chin, nose, and etc.…”. Then we put
the number in order from one to five and I ask some students to help me. We
sing Alice the camel song and I think it talk about our culture. Finally, we
play a game and move the red card and when stop the music I will ask the
students who have the number about the numbers if he/she answer they will get
a sticker. And I think that I did a lot activity at the carpet.

Describe (D):
Who is the lesson for? My lesson is for KG1
students. They focus in this week at the numbers from 1-5. This lesson includes
all the student’s ability.
Where did the lesson take place? The
lesson is inside and outside the classroom. Also, at the table and down in
the floor. So, the students can do whatever what they want to did in the
class. They also play in different center and they have fun in the classroom.
What were you trying
to achieve in your lesson? I try to let the students memorize the
numbers by different way and different idea.
What did the
students do? The student plays with me at the carpet and they
count by their figure from 1-5. Also, they sing a lot of song that it is
match the theme and the culture. Then, they did the activates in the
classroom and out of the class. They have fun.

Analyze (A):
Why do you think the students responded the way that they
did? if they find something interesting they will do their best to achieve
this thing. However, if they didn’t like what I did they will be boring and
didn’t like to go to any center. As you see, when I let the student sit in
the carpet they start to jump that because too did the activity and they are
very interesting about it.
How well did your teaching relate to the students’ prior
understanding? By having a different activity that will have a
fun by different way. That will let them have an interesting time with the
children.
How well did you engage the students? First I
play for them Alice the camel song and then I let them play a game with a red
card and they play this game in the carpet. I think they have fun.

Appraise (A):
Explain
the nature of the experience from the students’ perspective they
learn the numbers from 1-5. And they
memorize the number by different way. Also, they use their muscles to paint
and play the playdough. Also, to make the puzzle and write the numbers.
Did
your lesson meet your teaching goals?
Yes, the student understands and memorize the numbers from
1-5. And, they have fun and this is important. It helps them to understand
and memorize quickly.
|
Transform (T):
How might you enhance student learning of this lesson in the
future? Mabey I can use outside the classroom more
than inside. Let the student search and bring 5 things. So, that will help
them to memorize the numbers and count from 1-5.
What are the implications for your professional practice?
I
feel that I can be a good teacher to teach the students in the classroom and
let them have fun time in the classroom. Also, I can let the students
memorize the numbers by using different way.
